The community esports record for GOALS.
About
ASSISTS is an independent, community-run record of the GOALS competitive scene. It is currently a one-man, spare-time project maintained alongside a full-time job, with no commercial interest — past, present, or future.
The real mission is the data: to keep a competitive record that is clean, consistent, and entered once. The same team, person, or tournament is stored in one place and reused everywhere, never retyped by hand per page, so how it appears can never drift out of sync between views.
That is also why this site feels different. Most such sites are pretty frontends wrapped around hastily, occasionally re-typed, and overly tangled systems that turn inward on themselves. Here the weight is on the database underneath — ordinary database-management discipline: one source of truth, deliberate links, minimal room for human error — so the messy work is done once, and the page you see can stay plain, fast, and correct.
KISS — keep it simple, stupid. There are no accounts, no logins, and no identifiable information; every visitor gets exactly the same page, doing the same thing, the first time and the hundredth.
Coverage focuses on recognized tournaments and the esports side of GOALS. We do not mirror in-game or in-API data — ranked leaderboards, skill ratings, and match telemetry are the game's and the dedicated community tools' territory, and we are glad to point to them rather than duplicate them.
Fun facts about the website: this is the first I have ever published, and it is the place where I learned my way around containers and DevOps. What you are looking at is small and boring on purpose — a mostly-text server-rendered app that keeps its stack cheap and simple — and the domain costs 5€ per year.
